Off-Shore Personal Survival Course: April 21-22 More Info...
Eric Hill is returning to teach his Offshore Personal Survival course: April 21st and 22nd 2018 at Britannia Yacht Club, 2777 Cassels Street, Ottawa.
This two-day, intensive classroom course is open to cruisers and racers. No prerequisite qualifications or sailing experience required. Class size is limited to 20 students.
Topics include heavy weather seamanship, damage control, ship abandonment, and survival at sea (and much, much more).
Practical skills training includes deploying handheld distress flares, and a two-hour pool session covering liferaft deployment and boarding, and other drills.
Completion awards an ISAF personal offshore safety certificate, valid for 5 years. This certificate is a prerequisite for many offshore races.

Early Bird rate: $449 + HST until Feb 24. After that, $579 +HST.
