The 2017 Bob Yuile Memorial 60th National Capital Regatta will be held at the Britannia Yacht Club, 2777 Cassels Street, Ottawa, Ontario, July 15 & 16, under the organization of the Britannia Yacht Club. All races will be held on Lac Deschênes in the Ottawa River.
NOTICE OF RACE
The rules will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2017-2020 (RRS).
Current class rules will apply
Prescriptions of Sail Canada will apply
RRS may be modified
Entrants must be members of a Yacht Club recognized by their National Sailing Authority or a member of their Class Association. All boats and equipment must conform to their respective class and/or fleet measurement, equipment and accommodation regulations.

5 BOATS CONSTITUTE A CLASS
Classes with less than 5 entries sail in a handicap using Portsmouth number ratings
Optimists, Open Bics $65.00
Two-person boats $140.00 per boat
All other classes $80.00
Laser Class Assoc. Surcharge $3.00
Entry fee includes regatta souvenir, lunches on Saturday and Sunday and Saturday night BBQ dinner (does not include HST)
13% discount will be applied for those who register before June 26, 2017
Advance online registration is strongly encouraged. Online registrations will be accepted until 16:00 July 14, 2017. In-person registration will take place at the Regatta Office of Britannia Yacht Club on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 1600-2100 hours. Registrations for out of town sailors ONLY will accepted Saturday July 15thbetween 0730-0830. All participants must check in at the Regatta office during the aforementioned registration periods to pick up their race kits.

The sailing instructions will be provided at registration, after 1600 hours on Friday, July 14, 2017, at the Regatta Office.

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the Regatta.
SERIES FORMAT AND SCORING
A maximum of 15 races are scheduled with one or more races constituting a series; one drop with five or more races, second drop with ten or more races. The Low Point Scoring System of the Racing Rules, Appendix A will apply.
Prizes will be awarded as soon as possible following the completion of racing on Sunday. Various BYC trophies will be awarded to winners in their respective classes. As well, NCR medallions will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each category. Other awards may also be presented.
Competitors entering and withdrawing up to July 1 will be refunded their entry fee, less a $5.00 administration charge.
Free camping is provided on B.Y.C. grounds.
